The pattern combines the decorative art of multiple civilizations, integrating traditional Chinese motifs, European classical decorations, and Buddhist artistic elements. The symmetrical circular patterns symbolize the cosmic view of "the sky is round and the earth is square", while Chinese bronzeware, window frames, and garden floor tiles represent harmony and completeness. The dragon patterns and auspicious clouds originate from the imperial power and nature worship in Chinese mythology. The dragon symbolizes power, and the auspicious clouds represent auspiciousness. They are often seen in court art of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The scroll-leaf and vine patterns combined with Greek acanthus leaves and Indian honeysuckle patterns reflect the Buddhist concept of "reincarnation".
